Ebooks For The Nook

Are Ebooks for the Kindle compatible with Barnes & Noble’s “nook”?

I was thinking of maybe getting a nook. On Amazon the ebooks are cheaper than they are on bn.com. I was wondering if the ebooks for the Kindle would work on the nook. I like the nook better because you can store music on it too and its in color. what are also the pros and cons of the two “eReaders”?

No. You can only read B&N on a nook and you can only read Kindle books on a Kindle (or their respective aps for each). You can store music on a kindle too, btw. but there’s less storage space.

And the color screen for the nook is ONLY the small color touch screen at the bottom. Not where you’ll be reading, the reading screen is the same.

Plusses for the Kindle that B&N doesn’t have are text-to-speech, an experimental web browser, and they just announced a way to organize books into collections which the nook doesn’t have.

I also think Amazon is a better company in general. Their customer service is beyond amazing and they are much, much less likely to go out of business than B&N (taking your Ebook library with them)
