How do I secure Ebook Download website?

I want to create a store selling ebook through oscommerce. Do I need to add anything to secure it and prevent people from stealing the Ebooks. How do I secure the download?

There are several ways to protect your assets. Additionally, there are a dozen ways to implement this kind protection.

Since securing a web commerce site is such a multi-faceted issue, I would seriously consider hiring a professional web programmer to do it for you.

Your security needs are unique, so it’s not easy or practical to spit a few tips for you here. Find someone who knows what they’re doing, sit down with them, discuss the site, and let them develop a security model that works for you and your site.

BTW, osCommerce is an aging, rickety platform for creating business sites. It’s large, clunky, hard to configure, and an overall pain. If your budget permits, look into someone developing a custom e-commerce engine for your site. It’ll suit you better, especially considering you’re only selling digital content and not tangible merchandise.
